The story

Where it started

Frustration sparked the original sketches: busted, pieced-together jockey boxes and ruined coolers just weren't cutting it. Engineered in the backyard alongside the outdoor community, we created a better way to enjoy draft beverages on the go.

BevWedge was built for any occasion that brings people together: backyard barbecues, tailgates, festivals, and more. We use quality materials to build a sustainable, easy-to-clean draft system that doesn't damage your cooler.

Dan
Founder · Austin, TX

Dan has spent his entire career at the intersection of great beer and great gear. From his first job behind the counter of a college beer store to managing beer culture at YETI, he's poured more kegs, worked more festivals, and ruined more coolers than he cares to count.

That last part is what started BevWedge.

Dan started his career in beer long before BevWedge existed — working in a college beer store before landing in sales at Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. There he coordinated events, worked festivals, and got up close with every frustration that comes with pouring draft beer in the field.
YETI Coolers
"At the intersection of great beer and great gear."
Dan joined YETI as Beer & BBQ Community Marketing Manager — managing ambassador programs, event sponsorships, and marketing strategy at the intersection of two things he loved most. He knew the coolers inside and out, and the people who used them.

"The backyard where it all came together."
When Dan left YETI, he started building jockey boxes out of the same coolers he'd spent years promoting. Every build required drilling holes into a brand new cooler. After one too many, he started sketching something better — and BevWedge was born in his backyard.
