Setup guide
Get it right the first time — here's exactly how to set up your BevWedge.
01
Drop BevWedge into your cooler
Open your YETI Cooler and lower the BevWedge unit in. It's precision-engineered to fit snugly — no wiggling, no shimming, no modification needed. The fittings rest at the top edge of the cooler for easy access.
Make sure your BevWedge is clean and dry before dropping it in — a quick rinse after your last use goes a long way.
02
Connect your lines & tap your keg
Attach your beer lines to the BevWedge fittings, then connect your CO2 regulator to your tank. Connect your keg coupler, open your CO2 valve, and set your regulator pressure to 25–30 PSI. Tap the keg and let beverage flow through the coils and out the faucet until you have a steady stream — this clears any residual moisture from the lines.
Important: Always run your beverage through the lines and coils before adding ice. Residual moisture in the coils can freeze and block your lines once ice is added.
Plug & Pour customers will find everything pre-fitted and labeled — just connect and go. Solo customers, attach your existing lines and coupler.
03
Add ice around the coils
Once beverage is flowing through the lines, fill your cooler with ice — cubed or crushed both work. Add ice around and over the coils until they are completely submerged. Full ice coverage on all sides is what gives you that consistent, cold pour from the first glass to the last.
Adding cold water on top of the ice creates an ice bath that improves surface contact with the coils — giving you an even colder, more consistent pour.
04
Dial in your pressure
With your cooler iced and beverage flowing, fine-tune your CO2 pressure for the perfect pour. Start at 25–30 PSI and adjust from there. Too much foam means your pressure is too high or your lines need more chill time — lower the PSI by 2–3 and try again. Give the system a few minutes to reach full temperature before judging the pour.
Highly carbonated beverages like IPAs or lagers may need slightly lower pressure. Check for any hissing sounds along your gas and beverage lines — a secure connection means no leaks.
05
Pour. Repeat.
Pull the tap handle and pour. BevWedge's coils flash-chill your beverage as it passes through — delivering a consistently cold, perfectly carbonated pour every single time, from the first glass to the last drop in the keg.
Keep the cooler lid closed between pours to maintain temperature. The less you open it, the longer your ice lasts and the colder your pours stay throughout the event.
After the event
Care & cleaning
Proper cleaning after every use keeps your BevWedge performing like new and your pours tasting exactly as the brewer intended.
Clear the lines
Before anything else, make sure all beverage is removed from the coils and beer lines. Use a pressurized cleaning kit or push clean water through to flush everything out completely.
Soak with PBW
Fill the coils and lines with a solution of hot water and PBW (Powdered Brewery Wash) — an alkaline cleaner that's safe, non-caustic, and food-safe. Let everything soak for a minimum of 20 minutes. Clean the faucets separately with PBW as well.
Flush & sanitize
After soaking, flush the system thoroughly with clean water. Then run Star San sanitizer through the coils and lines. Star San is an acid-based no-rinse sanitizer safe for food-contact surfaces — a final rinse with clean water completes the process.
Purge & dry
Purge the coils and beer lines with compressed air to remove any remaining moisture. This step is important — any water left in the lines can cause issues on your next use.
Store it open
When storing your BevWedge, leave the cooler lid open until everything is completely dry. Closing a damp cooler can cause mold to develop. Once dry, store in a cool, clean space until your next event.
Cooler as normal
Lift BevWedge out and your YETI goes straight back to being a cooler — camping, tailgating, beach days. No holes, no damage, no trace. Zero compromise, every time.
Recommended products: PBW (Powdered Brewery Wash) for cleaning and Star San for sanitizing. Both are food-safe, widely available at homebrew supply stores, and trusted by professional brewers worldwide.
